Erin's Pinwheels and Polkadots

The ever fabulous and so very sweet, Mel, is designing all of her creative team members their very own kits. We sent her some color swatches and the wonderful designer that she is, whipped up lovely kits and a sampler. This is Erin's Pinwheels and Polkadots, which I love. The colors are very grown-up and sophisticated. The kit will be available at S&S on Friday. Here is a preview and my layout.

On a side note, Nicola you were wondering about my dog's lack of a tail...long and somewhat yucky story, but he had to have it amputated last February. But, he is doing great and is now in great health for a 12-year old and as happy as ever!

Off to scrap, layouts to be done and never enough time!

Little Digger

Mel has another new kit over at Snap and Scrap. It is called "Little Digger" and is just adorable. I love all the little trucks and boy things. Go check it out over at Snap and Scrap in the shoppe!

I am in a bit of slump with scraping- lots of ideas but nothing working. I hate that when it happens. And of course when the creative bug hits I will probably have to go to work...

Here is a little something I did for the creative team sketch challenge at Snap and Scrap for this week. Luckily enough Mel is
in the Designer Spotlight over there for this week. Very much deserved Mel!

Aren't these two just the cutest! Love you girls!!!!!

Congrats to Charlie - she made it to the next round over at Stone Accents. Be sure to keep an eye on her - she is headed for great things!!!

Enjoy your week everyone!

Simply Organic

This layout is for the Creative Team Sketch for S&S for September 14. The kit I used is from Amy Riley's "Simply Organic". This is the most stunning kit. I love the papers Amy designed. I hated to cover them up with photos. Here is Amy's Preview. You can get this kit at the Snap and Scrap Shoppe at www.snapandscrap.tv.

Here is my layout. I took these pictures a day when it was raining but yet the sun was shining. I can't wait to use this kit again! Beautiful job Amy!

Have a great Thursday. I am off to play with the new grandbaby!

Snap and Scrap is back!

Finally things are back up and running at Snap and Scrap! It was a long week without them. Thanks so much to Gillian for all her hard work and to James, whom ever he may be, for getting things back in shape!

Here are a few layouts from Mels' Kits which are now in the shoppe at Snap and Scrap. The first one is the "Salsa Kit". I love these bright colors and the couple is pretty cute too!

The next one is from the Teacup and Tulip Kit. I love the purples in this kit as it's my granddaughter's favorite color. The adorable frame works perfectly for these two sweet sisters!

Finally, this kit is called Tweetie Pie which Mel sweetly gave us to play with while the website was down. Thanks Mel! I love the birds and the cute word art.

Off to bed!

First Post

Kindof scary this blogging stuff. This is my first try at a post so here goes.

This first layout is from Mel Hains' freebie kit "My Old Handbag" . I love the browns and creams she used in this kit. The template I used is from Lori at Free Digital Templates and the wordart from Sande Krieger Rough Riders Kit at 2Peas. The adorable child is the son of a friend from work. Isn't he the cutest? I have no small boys anymore so I have to borrow them for boy layouts.

You can get the freebie from Mel's blog at www.melslightbulbmoments.blogspot.com. Papers are there today and the elements are on their way tomorrow.

Enjoy and have a great weekend!
