La Jolla

A few weeks ago I contacted two of my favorite designers, Lou from LouCee's Creations and Denise from DigiDesigns by Denise and asked them if they would be willing to create a kit for me around a wedding photograph from a friend's wedding.  Luckily for me they both agreed and have come up with one of my favorite kits  - La Jolla.  La Jolla means the jewel and this is exactly what this kit is.  It is stunning!  You can find it at Digiridoo Scraps on sale for $5.00 for a limited time.

Here are my layouts using this kit.

Thank you Denise and Lou for this gorgeous collaboration!

Studio Gypsy's Believe is in the shoppe at Scrapbook Graphics.  Lisa told us this was a mini kit but there are so many beautiful vintage elements included and what gorgeous papers.  I love the little girl all bundled up in her vintageness (is that a word?).

Lisa also has some Grungy Little Patterns papers in the shoppe.  Add a little whimsy to your Christmas layouts with these lovely papers.

Sarah Barber Designs at Digiridoo Scraps has Jiminy Christmas in the store.  A retro yet elegant 1940's feel Christmas kit.  Don't you just love those retro papers and the glitter on them - fabulous!

Cindy Ritter, a new designer on the Digiridoo team, has Winterland Waltz out.  The icy blues and silvers make this a gorgeous kit for winter layouts.
I also used Color by Caryn's December template for this layout.  You can find the template at the forum in the challenge section at Digiridoo.

Now for a little fun - a challenge over at Scrapbook Graphics was to create a little Christmas scene using these gothic architectural arches.  I had so much fun creating this little bit of Christmas using Lorie Davison, Rebecca McNeem and Tangie Baxters' kits.  It was like creating my own little fantasy world.
Aren't Lorie's little creatures just the cutest things around?

Off to do Christmas things. Happy Holidays!

New Kits

Sarah Barber Design and MC Designs teamed up with a new kit called Essence.  A gorgeous kit that you can find over at Digiridoo.  Wonderful elements and colors!

Serene by RW also has a new kit out called 6 Year Old.  What a fun kit - my GD is 6 and this age is so precious!

The December issue of The Artisan Notebook is out.  An amazing issue filled with gorgeous layouts and articles.  You can find it at Digiridoo.

Here is my submission for the November Artisan Notebook using Lorie Davison's Flitting Faeries kit.

Stay tuned for an amazingly stunning kit from my two favorite designers - coming soon. Here is a sneak peek.

December - such a busy month.  Happy Holidays!

Good News and Bad News

The past week has been filled with activities and lots of happenings in the scrapping world.

The bad news first.  Charlie from Charlie's Digiscraps and I became scrapping friends about four years ago when I was chosen to be on her creative team.  Charlie's designs have always amazed me with her wonderful attention to details and high quality work.  It has been my pleasure to work with Charlie over the years but sadly she is retiring from the designing business to pursue her career as a photographer.  I am so happy for her that her photography business has taken off because she has an wonderful talent.  So here's to my friend Charlie and her new adventure.  I wish you only the best!  Good news for all you designers though is that Charlie is having a retirement sale over at Digiridoo.  Don't miss out on these fabulous goodies.

On to the good news.  Lots is happening over at Digiridoo Scraps.  Charlie from Charlie's DigiScraps and LouCee's Creations have teamed up with an amazing grab bag filled with CU products.  Perfect for those Christmas projects!
Lou also has a new kit out called Merry Berry.  Love the soft nontraditional colors of this kit - so pretty for those winter layouts.

Denise from DigiDesigns by Denise and Liz from Band Geek Designs teamed up to give you a Christmas Duo kit called Country Club Christmas also at Digiridoo.  I also used Denise's Handy Helpers 4 template with this layout.  I love the layering in this new set of templates from Denise.

Denise has been a busy girl - she also has a new kit out called We Are Family - The Bundle.  A bright fun kit filled to the brim with an alpha in both upper and lower case, beautiful worn papers and adorable elements.

Denise is in the Designer Spotlight over at Digiridoo this month and she has designed a free kit for everyone - Gingerbread Love - yummy!
Chocolate Geranium Digital Designs (I love the name - two of my favorite things chocolate and geraniums!) also has a lovely Christmas kit available - Aussie Christmas. It's all about a Christmas downunder.
Bree from Scrap'It Designs brings us Heart and Soul.  The perfect kit to highlight all those you love.  I love the wordart in this kit - just gorgeous.

I have had fun creating a couple of cards in the past couple of weeks.  The first is a very special birth announcement for an amazing Mom.  Photos by Carrie Butler - card designed by me.  Such gorgeous little twin girls.
This is a Christmas card and photos that I did for my son and his little family.  What a great time we had taking the photos but it was so cold!
Finally just a fun little art journal entry about my perfect day yesterday - most of it spent in doing my favorite things!
Oh my gosh if you got through this very long post - congratulations!  I know I will be back because I still have lots of things to do and I am sure I have forgotten something.

Have an amazing perfect day!
