Late Again...

Charlie has made the big move over to DSO and I am so excited for her. It really seems like a fun group over there and their challenges are amazing - not to mention their group of designers! Hop on over and do a bit of exploring!

Mel from Scrap That Design also has a new kit out - called Mini Rainbow. It's a bright and really fun kit and it's on sale for $3.00.

Also Secret Garden by Mel which has some really gorgeous elements.

I have been working on some other projects - an invitation for a bachelorette party and some photo editing for a wedding.
It has really been fun to branch out a bit. The photo editing has been a real learning experience. The bride wanted to use some photos, age them and post them behind an old window frame. Well, I have never really used photoshop actions but let me tell you I am in love!!!!! There are so many free actions on-line and I found the most amazing site. It is called Totally Rad Actions and my gosh they are beautiful. A little expensive for me since I am just stating out but they do offer a few free actions for signing up to their site. I can't wait to get them!

Anyway, here are some of my first attempts.

It is certainly a trial and error process but really fun! Vera Lim came out with a new package of textures for photos so I am off to try them.
I can't show you the invitation yet because the bride hasn't seen it - but it turned out so pretty!

Hope everyone has a good week!

Uptown Girl

Mel and Vicki have a gorgeous new freebie for you called Uptown Girl. You can pick up Mel's part here and Vicki's here.

What a fun kit and that ribbon cluster is to die for!!!!!

Here is my layout with the Toof Fairy Kit over at DSO. I wanted to just play with an extraction and the elements - such fun!
I will be using this kit for so many more layouts - it is fantastic!

Here is another layout I did with Vinnie Pearce's Night Birds Kit for a challenge over at DSO. My son's girlfriend's sister shot the photo while in Africa volunteering at an orphanage this year. She got some incredibly beautiful photos!

Have a good night!

Another Sunday...

Wow the time goes by so fast - already the end to another week. This week at Scrap That Idea Mel has done it again with a beautiful kit for Sara, one of my fellow CT members. Sara's passions are her boys and lots of stars which as you can see by the kit Mel has accomplished perfectly! You can pick this kit up for $3.00 here.

Mel has also come out with a gorgeous Baby Girl and Baby Boy Collection (oh no it's those pastels again??!!). What a great combination for all you moms out there. You can pick up both collections for just $6.00 or separately for $3.00 here.

Here are my layouts - the girl layout is my little granddaughter, who now is walking and growing too fast. The boy layout is my son, who is now 28 - This photo was the most modest of them all but so cute!!!! He would probably kill me if he knew this photo was going to be all over the web...or maybe not - he was such an adorable little boy and has grown into such a handsome young man!

And now the big news - drum roll please

Charlie is moving to DSO! I am so happy about this - I have hung around DSO since S&S closed, sort of in the shadows checking things out and I think it looks like a great place. I am ready to jump in and participate with all these great women! It really looks like they have a great time. I think Charlie has made a great decision and I for one can't wait to see what she comes up with at DSO. She will be a great addition.

As a side note, if you haven't checked out the new kit at DSO - Toof Fairy - you really need to. When I saw this kit the other morning as I was getting ready for work, I was so excited. A friend and I have been looking for a kit of this caliber and with this theme for so long and have yet to come up with anything. I had to have it, downloaded it and was late for work - it is just a gorgeous kit by Kim and Gaye!. A layout is forthcoming. And by the way, there are tooth charts for both babies and older kits - just what I had been looking for and to make things even better, the kit is on sale!!!!!! Awesome ladies!

Hopefully back later with some layouts...

New Stuff...

First of all, I am sorry I didn't get this posted at the first of the week, but Charlie has a new kit called "To Sir With Love". Adorable kit with some great elements. However, the papers are really the highlight of this kit...they are just stunning and so detailed!! Just beautiful.

Charlie is also retiring some of her older kits to make room for new ones. These are beautiful kits and what a great deal.
You can find them at ESS.

Charlie joined in the fun over at Digital Scraping Obsession in their Color Challenge and came up with this wonderful mini-kit (which you can find free on her blog). It is called Licorce Allsorts.
I gave it a whirl and did this layout. The colors reminded me so much of Halloween that I just couldn't resist a Halloween layout.

Stay tuned because I think Charlie has some great news....ssshhhh it's a secret though!!!!!

Now, let's move on to Mel - who may I say is a designing demon. This girl does not quit! First of all, Mel also has some great sales going on. Mel also has a special for you! This whole week, you can grab 'Hello Darling' and 'Bath time!' for only $2 each!

Mel also has two new kits. The first one is called Calypso and is such a pretty kit. The elements were so fun to work with and it's on sale for $3.00.

Because Mel loves her CT so much (that's us!) she is making CT appreciation kits. The first is for Erin and is so cute. It fits Erin to a tea showing her love for her family and her home.

Whew...I think that's it. Have a great week!

Happy 4th of July

Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th. I was able to spend it with my family which was so much fun - even my Mom and Dad!
My kids and grandkids are so blessed to have grandparents and great-grandparents to spend time with. I was even able to get a picture of everyone and that is a huge accomplishment!

You can either buy each minikit - which consists of 6 papers, 15 elements and a full alpha - for only $2.50 OR you can buy the whole lot for $10! That is 30 papers, 75 elements and 5 full alphas. You can find this amazing work here.

Scrap that Idea is also celebrating the 4th for their American Friends with this great coupon.

Got to get busy - we are having a family picnic on the 4th and I need to shop and cook. Hope everyone in the US has a great holiday - take lots of pictures!
