I have been sprinkled with fairy dust!

My good scraping buddy, Charlie from Charlie's Digiscraps has asked to be a part of her amazing creative team and her new
endeavor at Enchanted Studio Scraps. This creative team is going to be great fun as a lot of ladies I have known at Snap and Scrap are on her team - it somehow feels like home! Thanks Charlie!

Busy, busy, busy

Wow, yesterday turned out to be an incredible day - I got layouts done and the creativity was just flowing, today - another story
I am feeling lousy (Mel's germs must have flown over the pond) so I am trying to get my post done before I head back to bed.

Mel has been one busy girl despite not feeling well - I don't know how the girl does it. She has three new kits at Scrap That Idea and they are fab! So easy to work with!

The first one is called Passionately Pink. Love the pinks and browns in this kit! You can pick this up for $3.00 in Mel's store.

Life is a Beach is Mel's second kit this week. Love, love the elements in this kit and the alpha is just perfection. Mel, you have become the alpha queen! This kit is also $3.00 in the store.

Whew, one more for Mel and this one is a stunner! It is so sophisticated and just perfect for those more elegant layouts.
It is called Mono. Also $3.00 - take advantage of the great price on these kits - it won't last forever! I love just the little punch of color in this kit!

Please check out the store at Scrap That Idea because Vicki, Sara and Stacey also have some amazing kits over there! These girls are all really amazing designers. The Scrap That Idea Newsletter is also out - if you haven't signed up for it, please do so because there are some great deals in it and some fantastic freebies coming along!

OK...well there is more exciting news. My layout was picked as Layout of the Month for the Month of February over at Vera Lim's Design. Here is the layout that was picked - It was a challenge on the blog using lots of circles - it WAS a challenge but was really fun to push myself a bit! Lovely young woman, my son's girlfriend - gorgeous isn't she!

Hummm, just a fun layout I did for the Digiscrap Obsession Scraplift for March - I am so lucky to have these two adorable granddaughters in my ilfe - without getting sappy, they are such a blessing!! My daughter is such an amazing mother - as a mother you always wonder what kind of a mother your daughter will be and she has exceeded anything I could have imagined! Love you guys!

I think that is about all - except for one secret that I am so excited about...details forthcoming, just a hint - It involves my good scraping buddy Charlie! All I can say is WooHoo!

It's Still Dark Outside

I am sitting here at my computer, it is pitch black outside, I have a steamy cup of coffee, the big, black furry beast asleep underneath my desk and Itunes going - what a better way to start the day. I love this time of the day - before the sun comes up and life begins.

Lots of news - most good, some sad. Let's start with the sad. Snap and Scrap have closed their doors. Such a bittersweet feeling I have about this. Gillian tried to hold things together and all the designers and creative team did their best, but sales are just not what they should be. I have had so much fun with the gals at S&S, their challenges were so much fun and when Mari asked me to be on their creative team I was thrilled. I won my first layout of the month there and have met some awesome and talented people there - some of which I will still remain scrapbooking friends with, which is so cool - because we have never really met.

Ok now the good news. First of all I was picked as layout of the week over at Digiscrap Obsession using this layout.

I think it was the beautiful baby that won them over!

More good news....Wednesday I was going through my e-mail and there was a message from Beth Long, whose designs over at Digiscrap Obsession have always caught my attention. Beth has asked me to be on her creative team - How could I refuse?!
She is an awesome designer and has been so sweet! She sent me some links to her stunning kits and here is the first layout.
I love this kit because it is so nontraditional Easter and can you believe those beautiful eggs - Her mom made them. How cool is that! The kit is called Joanne's Egg - pick it up here.

Even more good news...check back tomorrow because the Fabulous Mel Hains has three kits coming out tomorrow and they are going to knock your socks off!

Whew...now I better get going - I have one more layout to finish for Mel and some playing to do with Beth's kits!

Oops, forgot one more layout. This one is for Pixel Canvas Friday Lift.

Two New Kits on Sale

Mel has two new kits on sale over at Scrap That Idea. The first one is Walking Down Zoo Lane. What a great kit and I love the cute paper with the zoo animals on it. Walking down zoo lane is bright and cheery, perfect for all your zoo trip layouts! and best of all, for today only, it is $2.50.

For all you hybrid people, I think this kit would make some adorable zoo birthday theme cards. I may have to give them a try as my granddaughter has decided the tiger is her favorite animal now.

Mel has also made an absolutely adorable album with 4 x 6 quick pages. These are so cute! You can get these for only $2.00.

I know it is unbelievable but Mel has another fabulous kit on sale at Scrap That Idea. It is called Seriously Purple. Love this kit. The pansies and the the spring theme reminded me so much of my grandma. The lyrics on the page are from a song she taught me as a little girl, Little Purple Pansies, which bloomed profusely in her yard. I miss her and think of her so often so what a great way to preserve this memory than with this beautiful kit. It is also on sale for $2.50.

Seriously, Mel take a breath! What fun it is working with Mel and this creative team - they are such a great group of ladies
and Mel's talent shines!

Here is a layout I did for a challenge at Pixel Canvas. The idea was to fill the page with words. I am really loving clipping masks lately. They are so cool and so easy to use yet give you such a great effect with the photo.

I am kindof floundering with the close of Snap and Scrap looking for a new place to hang out...If anyone has any great digital scraping sites with fun challenges and great people, I am up for your ideas!

Apple Spice and All Things Nice

Mel and Charlie have gotten together again for this terrific collab - Apple Spice and All Things Nice. What a fabulous kit - so fun to work with. These two work so great together. Please go check out their blogs, Mel and Charlie, and pick up their respective parts.
Here is a preview of this fantastic kit.

Here is my layout using both parts of the kit.

This is an older picture of my granddaughter - but don't you just love that shot with her laughing - so cute!

Off to work...

With All My Heart and Soul

Yikes - I get one post done and Mel has another kit on sale (good thing I had the layouts done ahead of time). This kit was so
fun to work with, everything about it is just stunning. It is called "With All My Heart and Soul". You can find it at Scrap That Idea and it too is on sale, so head on over!

Gee Mel, give me time to catch my breath.....the girl is amazing!

Warm and Fuzzy

Mel has a great new kit over at Scrap That Idea. It is Warm and Fuzzy and those pinks and reds certainly make you feel warm and fuzzy. So hurry on over to Scrap That Idea and pick up 'Warm and Fuzzy' for only $2.50 and remember it's for today only! Here's what I did with the kit.

On a very sad note, Snap and Scrap is closing it's doors. Sales are dismal and it has just become too much for Gillian to keep up with. S&S was the very first place I actively took part in digital scrapbooking, won my first layout of the month and was asked to be on their creative team. It has become my digital scrapbooking home. I have loved the girls over there and it has been so special to work with everyone on the team. I am going to miss them so much! But, for all of you out there in scrappie land, there is going to be a big sale.

What a great opportunity to pick up some absolutely gorgeous kits from some very talented ladies! Oh......too sad!

On the lighter side of things, Mel has enough kits to keep me busy all weekend - so off to scrap!
